Meet 2006-07 RTA Chair Ed Willingham
RTA Chairman Joe Freddoso has moved to San Jose with Cisco Systems to serve as the Senior Director, Employee Commitment and Communications. The Alliance has selected Ed Willingham, Executive Vice President of First Citizens Bank to assume the role as Chair. Ed has been with First Citizens, a company that employs more than 2000 people in the Triangle region, for 19 years. Ed and First Citizens have been Leadership Team members of RTA since the inception of the Alliance. Please welcome Ed!
RTA and RDU Welcome JetBlue
This past Thursday morning, July 20th, the region welcomed JetBlue Airways as RDU’s newest air service carrier. The breakfast reception was a major success with over 75 business leaders in attendance, including the JetBlue Airways President, Dave Barger. Attendees were able to view the engine of the plane, which is a GE engine made right here in the Triangle.

Annual Meeting—Save the Date/Sponsor Opportunities
The Alliance 5th Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 3 at 11:30am at the Brier Creek Country Club. The meeting will highlight recent mobility accomplishments and future goals for the Alliance. It will also feature presentations by area leaders and mobility awards for projects that improved transportation for businesses and the region.
