Strategic Goal: Catalyze priorities and strengthen relationships to advance the cause of regional mobility.
Objective 1: Advance priorities and monitor key legislative and policy issues at regional, state, and federal level

Streets and Highways

Objective 2: Seek interchange and intersection solution opportunities and other congestion-relieving methods
Regional Transit

Strategic Goal: Encourage the creation of vetted regional transit plans and prepare for referendum
Objective 1: Encourage the creation of vetted bus, circulators, and rail transit plans in each county
Objective 2: Begin preparations for future transit referendum
Intercity Higher Speed Rail

Strategic Goal: Advance the Southeast High Speed Rail corridor north and west of Raleigh
Objective 1: Work with partners to “connect the capitals” of Raleigh, Richmond, and Washington, DC
Objective 2: Encourage MetroExpress rail operation between Raleigh, Greensboro, and Charlotte
RDU Air Service

Strategic Goal: Increase the number and/or quality of destinations, carriers, and flights from RDU
Objective: Partner with RDU to assist with marketing existing flights and proposed changes
