I-40 / 440 Rebuild begins in spring 2013

The I-40/I-440 Rebuild is a freeway pavement replacement project in South Raleigh.  NCDOT will completely rebuild 11 miles of pavement along both I-40 / US 64 and I-440 / US 64, extend acceleration lanes between certain I-40 ramps to improve merging on and off the freeway, and preserve selected bridges along I-40 and I-440 to extend their life-span.
