Registration is now open for our next RTA major event

Thank you to everyone who attended the RTA 24th annual meeting last month. We have now posted photos from the sold-out event.

RTA members and partners can now register for our next major event, and/or serve as a sponsor:

The RTA Transportation Brunch  2026  — Innovation in Transportation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the Westin RDU Airport Hotel.

As always, all RTA members have one or more tickets for all major events included with their membership. You can contact Jacob Rigg for additional information, and please get with our colleague Alea Morales to claim your included tickets. Our last two events sold out, including last year’s brunch, so be sure to make plans to attend and reserve your seats.

Chapel Hill BRT Moves Further Forward

Chapel Hill Transit has been spearheading the 8+ mile long North-South BRT project for several years. This week the president signed the FY 2026 Appropriations Act, which included $117m in federal funding for the NSBRT project. RTA has long-supported this vital project for regional multimodal connectivity, and this approved legislation will fully fund the expected Small Starts grant funding share from the Federal Transit Administration.
