A Spirit of Partnership

Earlier this week, several members of the RTA chairs council had an opportunity to meet with NCDOT Secretary Daniel Johnson and a number of members of his executive team.

Members of the business community were able to tell the story of the economic development investments their companies are making, in capital investments, job creation, and opportunities for North Carolinians — and of the essential nature of the transportation projects being implemented and advanced by NCDOT to the success of our market. While we had a number of points to share from various members of the business community, our primary agenda item during the meeting was “thank you”.  You can read more thoughts about the partnership in this week’s blog.

Thank you to RTA members

In 2026 the RTA regional business group enters our 24th year as a dues-paying membership organization with dedicated staff. Members of the regional business community and our key partners have worked in concert to advance critical multimodal priorities — roads and streets, transit, air service, mobility innovations, and funding solutions — for almost a quarter century. Whether you have been an RTA member for two weeks or two decades (or more), your support continues to be essential for the success of our region.

We know you have a choice in how you spend not only your money but your time. RTA staff and lead volunteers are committed to providing the best value for your membership, year after year. Thank you for your continued confidence, and we look forward to seeing you at upcoming RTA meetings and events in 2026.

Let’s get moving.

Joe
