An excellent State of Mobility 2026 event — and a timely celebration of RDU Airport and our region.
We were grateful to have 350 of our closest friends — our RTA members, partners, and guests — with us today at our RTA 24th annual meeting — The State of Mobility 2026. The event featured an interactive State of Mobility report, presented by members of the regional business community, as well as The State of RDU Airport, delivered by the chair and president and CEO of the Raleigh/Durham Airport Authority. We also held an engaging interactive conversation on the future of the airport.
You can download the joint RTA-RDU media release for the event here.
You can download the final presentation deck from the event, view the new RDU video here, our combined regional projects overview/2026 business plan document here, and learn other information from the event page here: letsgetmoving.org/SofM.
Kicking off a promising 2026
Thank you to everyone who attended the event, and thank you to all RTA members and partners for a great year. 2025 provided solid progress for mobility, and we were pleased to highlight the successes of our region.
The future of RDU is inexorably tied to the future of our region, as we noted during the annual meeting, and as we highlighted in this week’s blog. Our focus on RDU will continue in 2026, both in terms of support for the Transform RDU initiative, as well as the need for ongoing investments and a sustainable revenue model for the airport.
We appreciate your ongoing support of regional business leadership on transportation, and we remain devoted to the shared success for our region in 2026, and always.
Thank you for your partnership and friendship.
Let’s get moving,
Joe
