Freeway caps and stations

RTA supports the continued development of multimodal freeways in the metropolitan Triangle. Multimodal freeways create opportunities to access alternative, convenient modes of transportation while reducing barriers to crossing travel.

Freeway caps reconnect communities by leveraging the air above the freeway to eliminate barriers and maximize travel options and alternative uses.

Freeway cap exchange stations provide direct, quality access to transit while minimizing delays to both transit patrons and other freeway users.
