Visit 5 counties in Maryland for one price

RTA members,

We are looking forward to our 2026 RTA leadership briefing and field visit to Maryland later this summer.

Our visit will focus on the central Maryland area, including portions of Montgomery, Prince George’s, Anne Arundel, Howard, and Queen Anne’s counties.

We will have an opportunity to learn about and/or visit various examples of multimodal infrastructure and priorities, including BRT, junior freeways, parallel multimodal trails, ramp management, transit policy, and more.

Those will include existing and proposed FLASH BRT stations in Montgomery and Howard counties, the Maryland 200 dynamically priced toll road in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties, the upgraded US 50 junior freeway corridor in Anne Arundel and Queen Anne’s counties, intercity/commuter rail in Anne Arundel County, and other elements of interest to our region.

We are grateful for our honorary chairs for the Maryland tour – NCDOT Chief Engineer Patrick Norman and NCDOT Deputy Secretary for Multi-modal Transportation Julie White. They are providing essential leadership and partnership, as we learn together for the future of our region and state.

Thank you to NCDOT and all of our more than two dozen confirmed attendees for partnering on this visit.

Let’s get moving,

Joe
