Economic Development and Mobility Infrastructure
At your friendly neighborhood Regional Transportation Alliance, we recognize the importance of mobility infrastructure to sustain a growing economy.
Fortunately, so does the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC), which is a private non-profit that serves as the state’s marketing and business recruitment arm.
EDPNC recently released a new publication, a white paper on infrastructure. Here is a link to the paper (direct link to pdf).
The white paper focuses on all types of mobility infrastructure, including highway, rail, airport, and shipping ports, as well as energy and water infrastructure.
The report highlights a key component of North Carolina’s economic strength: decades of investment by both the public and private sectors in infrastructure as the backbone of commerce.
There are a few case studies included, such as the Toyota manufacturing facility northwest of Sanford.
I encourage you to read the report. Let’s continue to make the infrastructure investments needed for economic success and quality of life.
Let’s get moving.
