Member Briefing: September 18, 2020

Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition — the voice of the regional business community on transportation.

RTA 19th Annual Meeting announced
Earlier today we announced that our 19th Annual Meeting will be held on November 19th. The 11/19 event will begin at 11 a.m. While we have made it easy for you to remember when the event is, you still need to register to hear from 19+ business leaders who will speak to the future direction of our market. RSVP here — one or more access tickets are included with your membership! (Note that the 19th replaces the temporary prior date of Nov. 12).

RTA 2021 Action Plan approved
This week, the RTA Steering Committee approved our 2021 Action Plan. The plan incorporates our 2021 themes of equity, recovery, and opportunity, and provides a focused yet flexible blueprint for effective, sustained regional business leadership through the RTA. The Action Plan will guide our chairs council, as well as our regional Leadership Team and entire membership for the coming year. You can download the plan to learn more here.

Our growing region requires, and has, strong business leadership
During our recent in-person retreat pods, RTA members repeatedly spoke of the continued growth of our region, and that it seems to be happening because of—not in spite of—the pandemic, due to our quality of life relative to many other metro areas. TBJ editor-in-chief Sougata Mukherjee offered a similar perspective about our market in his column today. The RTA business leadership group has served this region for nearly 20 years. We remain fully committed to the powerful engagement and partnership needed on current and emerging mobility issues that impact our economy and quality of life.

Thank you for your investment in our region as a member of the RTA!

Let’s get moving,

Joe
