Let’s “takeoff” to the skies

We all know that RDU International Airport is a vital asset to the Triangle region, essential for continued economic growth and community success.

This week, a group of leading businesses and partners – including the RTA – launched a new marketing campaign that celebrates the importance of RDU to our region’s future, and encourages a return to the skies.

I encourage you to visit the Triangle Takeoff Coalition campaign website – TriangleTakeoff.com – where you can watch a just-released video, and find a number of resources for “carrying on.”

RTA is pleased to support this effort that spotlights the regional business community’s investment in RDU. Look for more information in the weeks ahead.

In addition, the campaign is a natural complement to the ongoing RTA RDU AID Task Force effort that is focused on advancing sustainable funding for RDU Airport.

You’ll hear updated task force recommendations for funding RDU at the RTA 2021 Transportation Breakfast, where we’ll also gain insights on the national business travel landscape from Wall Street Journal columnist Scott McCartney. The event will be held in person on July 9, and it is included with your membership.

Kudos to RDU for their multifaceted partnerships with the regional business community, and our shared commitment to the future of our growing region!

Let’s get moving,

Joe
