Member Briefing: January 13

Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition – the voice of the regional business community on transportation.

Our 21st annual meeting is just 1 (and 2) weeks away

Our next major event, our 21st Annual Meeting, takes place later this month, on consecutive Tuesdays.

Part 1 will be held on January 24 and will be online only. Part 2 will be held one week later on January 31st and this will be in person only at the Embassy Suites in Cary. Both parts begin at 11 am.

Signups for the event remain open; we already have registrations from several hundred of our region’s business leaders and partners.  As a reminder, RTA members have one or more tickets included with your membership, and each ticket provides access to both parts of the event, on 1/24 and 1/31 — however, you must register in advance to attend, and space is limited because we have a capacity limit at the venue. So please secure your seat(s) ASAP.

If you have any questions about your the event, including tickets, sponsorships or the event overall, please contact Jacob Rigg, RTA membership operations coordinator, at jacob@letsgetmoving.org or 919.664.7062.

RTA supports electrification of transportation

The regional business community is focused on advancing environmentally-friendly solutions to transportation, including electrification of trucks and other vehicles. We held our first General Membership meeting of 2023 on the topic of electrification of transportation earlier this week, with speakers from the Governor’s office, NC Division of Air Quality, and RTA Leadership Team member Duke Energy. Read more about what was discussed along with a recorded zoom link in this weeks blog.

Thank you for your ongoing dedication to regional business leadership on mobility.

Let’s get moving,

Joe
RTA Executive Director
