Member Briefing: March 3

We are “go” — and you should go — to our 540 gathering later this month

All RTA members should have received an email from me earlier this week, highlighting our first general membership field visit of 2023, where we will explore the ongoing construction of the 540 turnpike in southern Wake County during the morning of March 23rd.

To be clear, this event is much more than a field visit – it is a general membership networking event, an educational opportunity about the largest infrastructure project our region has ever seen, and a celebration of a two decade long partnership between the regional business community and our statewide turnpike authority. I hope you and/or a colleague can attend — this RTA general membership event is included with your membership.

RSVP using this link if you can attend this month’s RTA general membership gathering and field visit of the 540 turnpike. Please email RTA membership operations coordinator Jacob Rigg if you have any questions, including sponsorship opportunities.

Business community makes our case for a new runway at RDU

This week’s blog post summarizes our first in-person RTA General Membership meeting of 2023, held earlier this week, where RTA members were able to provide written and oral comments in support of the relocation and replacement of RDU’s primary runway.

Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting, and thank you to all members who have written letters of support over the past several months using our online letter template. Our efforts are making a difference, and you can still help —  if you have not done so already, please take 5 minutes and send your letter today using the sample template.

Thank you for your ongoing dedication to regional business leadership on mobility.

Let’s get moving,

Joe
RTA Executive Director
